Principal development server is away for repairs.

New version of EndNotes does not work with existing Windows emulator. Asked $sysadmin yesterday evening to set up other Windows emulator. Machine hosting Windows emulator is today also semi-down and unusable. Causal connection here unclear.

Database curator home with sick child yet again.

Programmer's schemata and flowcharts need to be massively redone, as it is clear he has not actually been taught old-school formal flowcharting with the marking of decision points.

Did not get to mopping floors last night as was distracted by people being interesting and articulate online. (Did however do the moving of furniture and the brushing underneath thereof.)

Am rereading Sorcery and Cecelia. It is comforting.

Sorcery and Cecelia! Such a fun book. There's very little I enjoy more than smart YA fantasy novels, and I love the quirkiness and wit in that one. There's a sequel, which I haven't read, but I recently picked up A College of Magics and A Scholar of Magics, by Caroline Stevermer, and found them equally enjoyable, in similar ways.

Also . . . hello, and nice to meet you. I've been lurking for a bit, and as you've probably noticed, I don't post very often myself anymore, but I do read others' posts most days.

Hello and welcome. [info]papersky has both sequels, which I've not read - had read Sorcery and Cecelia once ages back and it had mostly slipped my mind - and I shall probably get to them soonish.
