Angelic Eye for the Gendered-Species Individual
Eek, you poor thing, that sounds miserable. I assume most of your work is not physically in your office to get damaged?
I moved my computer and relevant paperwork in time, and most of what all else I need is virtual.
I really hate the idea of floods. Twice in that office is far too much! I think I'd probably try to leverage this into being moved elsewhere (if the problem is "really fixed" now, then somebody else should be perfectly safe there too, eh?).
This is actually the third time in this office, and $project_manager appears to seriously think I can legitimately take $IT_boss's rarely-used office in this building, but this needs to be talked over with $IT_boss which will likely be at least Tuesday,

Do you mean a-pipe-burst-and-made-the-carpet-wet kind of flooded, or NYC-subway-station-after-Hurricane-Sandy,
Or in other words, pics or it didn't happen. :)
My office is in a basement. The two floors above are fungal genomics labs. When stuff leaks, the volume is not epic but the odours are.
.... no, on further reflection: D8
Oh dear. I am so sorry. My hopes for a new office ASAP.
Oh dear. "My office was flooded" is bad enough. It really should not be followed by "again."
And certainly not "...with effluvium from the Fungal Genomics Lab"!
